Indo’s Purchasing Procedures include a Quality Management System that, right from the initial evaluation, takes into consideration the criteria and attributes included in international standards on product quality and purchasing, as well as any pertinent restrictions and basic sustainable-management criteria applicable to a supplier’s processes (consumption, packing, waste treatment, environmental-management systems, prevention of occupational hazards, etc.). A potential supplier is approved if its quality system has ISO 9001 certification or equivalent from ENAC or a similar institution. A higher score will be obtained if the supplier has EFQM or ISO 14000 certification, etc.

90% of Indo’s lens suppliers have ISO 9000 certification, and 75% of those are also certified, or in the process of being certified, according to ISO standard 14000.
