Since 1937, Indo has aspired to become an international benchmark for visual satisfaction by manufacturing quality optical products and creating value through its human team, innovation and respect.

At Indo we are convinced that CSR is the path to be followed in business. We understand it to be a commitment, but also an opportunity to improve our financial results and company management, by supporting corporate values, business ethics, good governance and transparency.

We have therefore focused on raising the awareness of our entire team and all our stakeholders as to the advantages of an ethical and respectful approach at all times.

Within the framework of the CSR policy established by Indo, on 1 June 2005 it adhered to the United Nations Global Compact, whose principles now form part of the organization’s strategy, culture and day-to-day operations.

These principles are derived from a worldwide consensus based on:

  1. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
  2. The International Labour Organization’s Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work.
  3. The Rio Declaration of the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development.

The Global Compact is a voluntary international initiative that promotes sustainable development and responsible corporate citizenship, sets goals for improvement and indicators to verify companies’ progress in the field of CSR.
